Health is one of the Himal Foundation's biggest concerns and focuses. People from the valley could not have access to basic healthcare without having to take a three hour jeep ride to the nearest Health Unit just to take care of any injury, as well, they had scarce quality medicine if any at all. We have put most of our energy and resources in this sector and we are proud to have seen a huge impact in people's quality life. Today, we have over 180 people seeking healthcare on a monthly basis.

The Himal Foundation has already distributed school material to Annapurna basic school in Kalimati, however we are now currently working on allocating funds for school furniture to accommodate more students and improve their education standards as well as potential collaboration of overseas teachers who can help improve their english level

Environment is another key sector for The Himal Foundation, for those who have been in the remote areas of Nepal you will know how beautiful and naturally rich this country is. You would think because of its wilderness, the environment does not need that much attention. However, amongs other issues, we have seen wildlife starting to approach villages seeking something to eat, for example; goats from dear neighbours have been eaten by tigers, an alarming sign which might mean there is not enough food in the jungle. Our initial focus has been on educating locals and tourists to learn to respect and preserve their beautiful environment so we can all benefit from and with it
