Once the Himal Foundation rebuild The Saraswoti Elementary School in Sidhing we realised there was another issue. The school was up and running, the students were attending but soon we realised most of the teachers were actually not turning up to work! Therefore, we had this school full of students and no teacher or no way to find out if they were attending the school. There is little internet connection in this remote valleys and no CCTVs. The teachers were getting paid for a job they were not doing and we had no way to justify it. We decided to add a Finger print time attendance machine for teachers to sign in and out everyday. This has been worked brilliantly another example, of how a small action can have such a big impact.
